Last May 26th (2016), Carlos Garbisu presented our Soil Quality Cards to a group of Belorussian civil servants invited by IDOM to the Basque Country. IDOM invited us to give a talk, in its headquarters in Bilbao, on the results of our recently finished LIFE-SOILMONTANA project entitled “Microbial community structure as indicator of soil quality in mountain pastures and valley meadows”. As part of the SOILMONTANA project, we developed Soil Quality Cards specifically designed for grassland ecosystems. Later, we have also developed Soil Quality Cards for horticultural soils. Our Belorussian colleagues showed great interest in both of them.
