GREAT NEWS FOR OUR GROUP!!! Very recently (October 2015), a “Juan de la Cierva” Training-Contract was awarded by the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness to Dr. Anders Lanzén, our expert on bioinformatics. Thanks to this Training-Contract, Anders will be a member of our group for at least another two years (2016-2017). Since 2013, when he joined our group thanks to an Intra-European Marie Curie Postdoc Fellowship, Anders has been a great asset for our Soil Microbial Ecology Group. He will continue applying high throughput sequencing for microbial community profiling (“metagenetics”) and metagenomics, and developing sequence analysis (bioinformatics) methods for our research projects.
