During the academic year 2015-2016, the UNESCO Chair on Sustainable Development and Environmental Education (University of the Basque Country, UPV/EH), together with the Department of Plant Biology and Ecology (UPV/EHU), offer the seventh edition of the postgraduate UPV/EHU degree “Expert in Environment and Sustainability” (from November 2015 to June 2016).
This academic year, Carlos Garbisu from our group will also participate in this postgraduate degree. His classes deal with the importance of microorganisms for the functioning of the soil ecosystem, and in general for the functioning of the whole Biosphere. In particular, he will present the essential role of structural and functional microbial diversity for the sustainability of terrestrial ecosystems.
